Waste Not Want Not

Yes, it’s a mere 8 days into the New Year and I’ve finally figured out what I want to try to improve upon, in the remaining 358 days.

The overall goal is to be LESS WASTEFUL.

Obviously, this is nothing revolutionary.  Except for the fact that this year, I’m approaching it with a plan that might just make it transition from something I want, into something I am doing.

TIME  – Again, nothing unique about the idea of wasting less time.  Since time, on this Earth, is a finite measurement, I’ve decided a few things.

CLOCKGUY

It’s MY time and while I can’t always dictate how it will be spent, I sure as hell can take more control over the waste I allow to happen.

I WILL play those stupid games in my head of “Hey, let’s do this unpleasant task for 10 minutes and then stop, even if I’m not done.”  Chances are the chore is completed before the time runs out.

Wandering around inside my head is NOT a waste of time.  Most often it’s where I find answers to my questions and revive my desire to live.

just-breathe

When I feel overwhelmed I WILL take 5 minutes to breathe and then go on with my day.

I must remember that I ALWAYS have the time to be kind.

Sleepy Kitty

According to Kitty, this is NOT a waste of time.

Eddie emotional

Therefore, neither is spending a significant, but limited amount of time, ogling pictures of Eddie Vedder.
