Night time, in our home, is fairly peaceful, considering we share our lives with a nocturnal creature.
There is an occasional burst of energetic play or pounce across the bed, but for the most part, Kitty manages to amuse himself quite well, between the hours of midnight and 5 A.M.
Unless, of course we have an unannounced visitor.
Like Mr. Toad here. Who, last night, found his way upon the front porch and planted himself at our window; proceeding to amuse himself by watching the goings on as we settled in for the evening.
Kitty didn’t seem to take kindly to being placed under observation. He spent a solid hour, lecturing Mr. Toad, at the top of his lungs, on his ill mannered behavior of peeping through the window’s of strangers.
Mr. Toad seemed unimpressed with the ruckus Kitty chose to throw. Instead, his eyes started to look droopy and it appeared that our visitor was becoming sleepy. It’s 1:30 A.M. and Kitty is still adding an occasional commentary, to the ongoing situation. Hopefully, he too will tire of chattering and crawl into bed, for some well deserved sleep. Night! Night!
