Birthday Booty!

Ok, I’m not quite as elderly as Tweety’s Granny.

But, I’m not also not the young chick Cousin Knit-Pearl made me out to be.  (Bless you Cousin Knit-Pearl, your kindness will not be forgotten!)

If there is one advantage to growing older, it would be that the birthday loot was quite ample this year!  All Hail! Beloved’s gift,  A Dyson D41 Animal – The must have for hairy homes!

And boy, they aren’t kidding.  We are lucky the carpet is still attached to the floor! I thought it would be fun, after vacuuming my whole house, to collect all the “stuff” it picked up and take a picture .  I realized that after cleaning  just the hall way, that I wasn’t going to end up with a cute little pile of this:

Instead, it was huge and embarrassing and looked much more like a massive pile of . . .

I absolutely love it though.  Who couldn’t love a purple vacuum cleaner?? Anyways, after that traumatic experience,  I was more than delighted to receive Offspring’s endowment.

A beautiful bottle of Chanel’s Mademoiselle.  It smells just as peachy and pretty as it looks.  What a delight!

And then I opened his greeting card.

Nice!  It took at least 3 squirts of perfume to get over that insinuation!  Offspring always finds the most appropriate cards to express his thoughtful nature.  I have it displayed in my front room.  It’s perfect!!!

My dear family of Buckeye’s found a very old picture of me, from when I was very young!  Thank you guys for always loving and thinking of me!

Yep, that was way back in the year of . . . well, let’s just say it was taken in the previous millennium. And, we had the distinction of being the first Kindergarten class to have our school portraits shot in color – lol!  I still remember that yellow dress.  I thought the zipper ring and huge pockets were sooooo neat.  But, I hated how the top of the collar touched under my chin.  I never had much of a neck, still don’t!

Speaking of not having a neck, there’s a Squee – lol!  Wanted to thank Squee, Moon Chick and Crouching Tiger for sending their love and good wishes!  And yes, for a change, the boys DID take care of me this year!

Also, a huge thank you to El Capitán and Sea Star for sharing the treasure they acquired after plundering the high seas.  Your generous gift of pieces of eight and gold doubloons is always appreciated!

Thank you too for your lovely card (which by the way was devoid of arm flab) Much appreciated!

  1. I’m glad you got your birthday gift and had so many nice gifts! Love the Dyson! Anyway, for some reason (maybe CRS disease) I have stuck in my feeble brain that your birthday is the 17th — chalk it up to old age. Anyway, we love you and so glad you are our daughter!
    Love,
