Hello Dear Blog,
Yes, I know, I have spurned you for the past 7 weeks. It is nothing personal. You did nothing wrong. Really, it’s not you – it’s me. You see, talking with you, even about the inane subjects we seem to discuss, evokes emotion. And for a while there, that wasn’t a good thing. Sometimes, when things hurt really bad, I tend to get all corked up.
Chatting and babbling seem to lose their appeal. And until I can de-frag my brain, reorganize my thoughts and reboot my soul; visiting with you, dear blog, is a useless endeavor.
Now, it’s not like I stopped writing, my dear blog. But, you know that. You also know that the subject matter being recorded was much too vulgar and rude for your delicate eyes and gentle ears. So, yes, I admit it. I turned to another. Back to where, for years, long before you came into my life – I rambled and ranted about any and every ridiculous thought that meandered through my demented mind. My Mead Composition Notebook.
In all honesty, this isn’t the one in which I’ve been scribbling. I can’t really include a picture of that one. Due to the fact that I wrote a “less than lady like word” all over its cover. Not very mature, but somewhere deep inside of me still rages an angst filled teenager!
Yeah, I know, I’ll use any excuse to blatantly exploit my devotion to Eddie Vedder and include a picture of him in my blog!
And it’s a shame that I haven’t been in the mood to share with you this past month, because a lot of really fun things have happened. My niece Squee had an amazing birthday party. She is about to turn 8 years old and was sweet enough to invite Beloved and I to her aquatic soirée.
We had an absolute blast visiting with Squee’s mom and dad, Moon Chick and Crouching Tiger. And thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of Beloved’s ma and pa, Nana “The List” Seastar and El Capitán.
So, bear with me, dear blog, while I get you caught up on the “good” goings on of the past month. There have been many and I’ve missed sharing with you.
Just thought I’d add a couple of more pics from the great day Beloved and I had with Squee, Moon Chick, Crouching Tiger, Nana “The List” Seastar and El Capitán!!!
Foot Note from the Peanut Gallery:
You do know that the next time you decide to get all wadded up in your “Eddie Angst” and don’t feel like sharing your profound inner-most thoughts (which at times have the depth of a child’s wading pool) you could just publish pictures of ME!!!!
