Valentine’s Day

I know, I know, it’s a bit late.  But, I did want to share the results of our annual loot swap.  In all honesty, nothing tangible changed hands because both gifts, given and received, were “virtual” in nature.  The only “real” items involved were the dineros that were quickly and painlessly deleted from my bank account. Now, on to the good stuff – what did we get?????

My Beloved received permission to ransack the living room every weekend.Yes, that is a full size race car driving seat complete with steering wheel and pedals.  Oh look, there’s my steppy stool doubling as a mouse and keyboard holder.  And please take note of all the wires, lots and lots of wires.

Here’s another shot.  It gives you a better picture of what an all encompassing trip this gift is.  The coffee table is shoved back into the couch as far as it will go and still the whole set up barely fits in the room lol!

None of this “stuff” was his gift. (Can you believe we actually had all that junk lol?) For his Big V Day gift, he received a subscription to iRacing.  It’s an online racing simulator game.  You log on and race with other people from all over the world.  Evidently, even Dale Earnhardt Jr participates in an iRacing series.  Someday, when Beloved earns his pro license, he may have the opportunity to race with Jr.  But, that will take much practice and time and mess.

Go Baby Go!!  I do have to admit that it really is an amazing game!

And these little puppies are his secret advantage.  Why yes, those are official Simpson racing shoes.  Just like the ones Jeff Gordon and fellow iRacer Dale Jr wear when driving a REAL race car.  Apparently, the wearing of said shoes increases Beloved’s reflexes when getting on and off the gas and enhances his ability to float his car through a corner.

And what, you ask, did I receive on this most auspicious of holidays?  Well, you’re looking at it.  I got my own URL:  mydailyminefield.com  Yep, I too now have the capability to add more noise, nonsense and nothingness to the interwebz!  I can burble and pratttle while consuming bandwidth like it’s going out of style.  I HAVE A BLOG!
